'3rd of August'

This is an original oil painting from my 31 Faces of August series - a month-long project in which I painted a face each day throughout August.

The series grew from my love of painting faces, while challenging myself to find beauty and interest in the people and expressions I encountered every day. Rather than approaching each painting as a ‘big’ or finished work, the project became a way of painting more freely and instinctively, allowing each face to capture a particular moment, feeling or impression.

The painting is available unframed (26cm x 17cm) or framed (34cm x 25cm). If you choose the framed option, it will be professionally custom framed in a simple black wooden frame, ready to hang. If you have purchased the framed option please expect a delay of 1-2 weeks before shipping
